A few weeks after our 21 year old son Corban left us. I was sitting at lunch and the words to "Gonna Leave" poured out onto a napkin and then into a text message. Soon after I connected with Co-Writer David Delgado and Nashville Music Producer, Sam Hart, and an amazing song was born.  "Gonna Leave" is inspired by my son's last conversation with First Responders.

If you have never experienced sudden tragedy like this, you may not know that those left behind are honored to be remembered as that person's dad, mom, sister, brother, son etc. That's why I decided to release and perform the song as "CorbansDad." It's not about me. It is about Corban, but it's also for anyone who loves someone who left too early.
